My Heritage?

So I did that "My Heritage" thing .... but I can't seem to get the damn thing to post on here properly ... so it is on my MySpace.  http://blog.myspace.com/nikachino

Before going on I will state that if you are a devout Christian/Catholic or strongly Jesus following person, you might not like the following comments and you should probably not read this.  For the rest of you, don't blame me if you get angry/mad or in any other which/way or form pissed at me.  I have the right to an opinion.  You have the right to not read it.  I feel that I have to write this seeing as I have been told that some people seem to think that I talk about them when I am complaining when I truly am not.  For that person or 2 I must say, I don't read your posts, so maybe you are seeing something that you don't like in yourself but need someone else to blame.

Here.  For those of you who do not want to continue, this is a cute pic for you to look at.

Are you sure? .... ok well ... there is no stopping now.

Okay..............

The President has hit a new low.  He is the ultimate of spineless.  He sends out a politically correct holiday card.  Christian groups are outraged that it does not say Christmas in the card and that is somehow showing a lack of faith on Bush's behalf.  So the bugger goes and reissues a different Card to say Christmas in it.  Ok seriously now people.  Who the hell does that?  Ok ya I celebrate Christmas but I only send cards that say Christmas in it to people who actually celebrate the holiday.  It is not about what you celebrate, or shouldn't be.  It should be about giving best wishes in the form that the reciever celebrates.  I am not going to be ignorant enough to send a Christmas card to my Jewish friends.  That would be rude, disrespectful, and just plain dumb.  Happy Holidays is the one way to make us all a collective "One".  Isn't that what all these damn people want?  Or do they just want to all be equal, but only if you beleive in the same god.
I work in a book store.  We have "staff picks" on the wall that shows 2 books that each person picks every 2 weeks.  After hearing about the whole card schmozl I went into work and changed my picks to go through the Christmas week.  They are "The Pegan Christ" and "Wisdom of Forgiveness" by the Dalai Lama.  Yes I am a person who celebrates Christmas, but I am not one of those "put the Christ back in Christmas" people.  Christmas to me means being with the ones that you love and care for.  Sharing with people and yes even giving gifts (my mother is very materialistic, it is something that is slightly bred into me that I am trying to skuelch.)  The gifts are a thing to make people light up and be happy, hence the never ending battle to find the "perfect gift".  Those of you that are all on the I only celebrate the birth of Jesus and don't care about any of the other traditions that come with it (yes I mean the materialistic side of it) why are you celebrating in December?  According to science, when Jesus was born, if they were where they say they were, and the stars were the way they say, then Jesus was born in April.  Christmas was a Pegan holiday date.  Christians wanted their religion to get "picked up" so they chose that day to celebrate it so that it would not create too much of a shocking change to people.
So celebrate whatever, for whatever reason, but I must say, you can't put Christ back into Christmas when he wasn't actually there in the first place.
I know you all hate me now, but isn't the Holiday season about sharing, and my opinion is what I chose to share with you.

Ok so when Chris and I see a movie preview on tv we usually rate it.  The rating system is as such:

Theatre - which is a big thing for us seeing as it takes us a 2 hour drive to get to a good theatre

Buy It - This is usually followed by a Theatre viewing

Rent it - This is usually for the movies that look good but can wait or do not need to be watched on the oh so good big screen with the oh so wonderful big sound

Wait til it is on TV - this is the "Ya I'll watch it if it is free and I have nothing else to do"

So here is the raitings for the coming out movies:

Harry Potter 4 - Theatre - This one is going to be a Theatre one cause I love the book, like the previous movies and I just like to see this kinda flick at the theatre, plus I am going to see it (probably a second time) with my mom @ Christmas.  This will also be a buy it.

Two For The Money - Rental - would like to see this one in the Theatre but I think it is going to be a rental.

The Weather Man - Rental - Nothing blowing up

Corpse Bride - Rental - Not by any means is this to demean this movie, we just never got to the theatre when it was there.  Plus Chris knows a guy that worked on it.

ELIZABETHTOWN - Rental - on a day when Chris is not home, I have been told.

FLIGHTPLAN, SAW II , THE FOG  - Not my style at all

PRIME - Rental - On the same day as Elizabethtown

NORTH COUNTRY - Wait for TV - Sounds like a good story, but not one I would spend money on

WALLACE & GROMIT: THE CURSE OF THE WERE-RABBIT  - Rental - Looks funny but I can wait

The Legand of Zorro - Theatre - Looks great with lots of action.

Domino - Theatre - Looks great.  Again action is the key to the Theatre experiance

Now for the one we just saw:

DOOM - Rental - This was a Theatre one and we saw it there today.  It was good and better then we had heard, but it was one of those movies that pans a lot and kinda makes you dizzy.  Other then that it was quit good with a not so bad story.
